Huai Mo Village

Huai Mo Tzu Chiang House in Chiang Rai, Thailand was founded by a priest who, during the Cold War period, served as a secret informer for the CIA for 39 years. He took care of orphans who suffered from the regional issues of drug smuggling and trafficking. In this video, the artist invited these children to form a filming team and jointly used camera, sound recording equipment, lights, and other filming facilities to document the priest in person and to listen to him tirelessly talking about the past of the Intelligence Bureau.
Born. 1985, bases in Taipei, Taiwan Hsu had solo exhibitions at the Van Abbemuseum, Netherlands In 2015 and Honggah Museum, Taipei, Taiwan in 2016 which he won the Tai-hsin Art Award for. In 2013, he presented his works in La Biennale di Venezia for the Taiwan Pavilion and was nominated for the Hugo Boss Asia Art Award. And his recent selected exhibition is the 21st Biennale of Sydney at Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney, Australia in 2018.
